The Association welcomes all clinical scientists to apply for membership. Members include pathologists, clinical chemists, molecular and cell biologists, microbiologists, immunologists, hematologists, cytogeneticists, toxicologists, pharmacokineticists, clinicians, cancer researchers, and other doctoral scientists who are experts in the application of laboratory methods for elucidation, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases. Application for membership in the Association of Clinical Scientists requires that the applicant be sponsored by a current Fellow of the Association and have already demonstrated interest in the Association in one of the following ways: publication of a manuscript in the Association’s journal, the Annals of Clinical & Laboratory Science, or attendance at an Annual Meeting of the Association. The intent of this participation requirement is to limit membership to those individuals intending to be active in the Association.
